The solitaire diamond is the same. What changed was not the stone, but how it was presented.
The ring brought in this time was a solitaire ring with a single diamond set in platinum. The 0.7ct stone sparkled quietly in a simple claw setting.

"Can you make a gold ring with this diamond?"
That's how this project began. The image they showed us was a design featured on our blog: a solitaire ring with melee diamonds pavé-set in a single line along the band extending from the central diamond.
The design they referenced was a full eternity design, with diamonds all the way around. However, the customer mentioned, "Considering everyday wear, this might be too much," so we decided to create a half-eternity style, with diamonds only on the visible front portion.
Additionally, at the customer's request, the height of the central diamond setting was made a little lower. We adjusted it to a height that blends into daily life, while still maintaining a height that beautifully showcases the 0.7ct stone.

For the melee diamonds arranged on the band, we selected stones of uniform size and pavé-set them one by one. Each stone was carefully set to ensure a smooth feel on the finger and a snag-free finish, which is gentler than prong settings.

We restyled the ring into one that blends into daily life, while retaining the original brilliance of the stone. It can also be stacked with straight-type rings, such as an eternity ring that the customer already owns.
Both the decision to make it a half-eternity and to lower the stone's height were, in fact, ideas and choices made by the customer themselves. We feel that their thoughtful consideration for their own lifestyle, rather than simply adopting a design as-is, is proof of their sincere engagement with their jewelry. That's why it became a unique piece just for them. We want to cherish that sentiment, and above all, we are delighted by it.
