Today, I'd like to share a reform story about remaking an inherited brooch into a necklace.
"The stone is beautiful. But I don't wear brooches..."
The customer showed us a brooch set with a light blue gemstone.
They consulted us, saying, "I don't know what to do with this brooch..."
What immediately captivated me was the transparency of the stone and the expression of its cut.
It was based on a trillion cut, with a striking hexagonal shape where the corners seemed to be slightly rounded off.
Each time light hit it, the light blue appeared clear and vibrant, conveying a dewy, fresh quality.
My imagination immediately swelled with the idea of making "this stone the star."
First, remove the stone. The initial challenge is a clean removal.
However, the original brooch had a setting where the metal firmly enveloped the stone.
First, we discussed the process with the customer, including how to remove the stone, while checking its condition.
We shared the situation with the craftsman and began the stone removal carefully.
The result was...a successful, clean removal.
From here, we finally began to assemble the design.
Towards a necklace that suits "everyday wear"
The customer is someone who wears pant suits with dignity.
Based on their comment, "Due to my job, a colored stone on my finger is a bit much...", we decided to make it into a necklace.
The star is this unusual shape.
We used platinum to highlight the light blue, added melee diamonds to accentuate the outline, creating a balance that brightens the area around the face.
It's simple yet refined and cool.
The finished piece will naturally be worn more often in their daily outfits.
The "Wow...!" on the day of delivery made me happy
The moment they saw the completed necklace,
"Wow...!" their expression brightened instantly, and then they said,
"It's too beautiful to wear."
Those words made me happy, but I replied immediately.
It's not "too beautiful," but "please wear it often."

Since it has been reborn, please let it play an active role in your daily outfits.
