Create your cherished jewelry at your own pace.
Hello everyone,
I'm Omori, the designer.
The opal ring reform introduced in the blog post on October 9, 2023, received a lot of positive feedback.
This time, I'd like to share the continuation of the story of reforming that precious treasure.
The client's request was to reform an opal obi clasp that her aunt always wore with her kimonos.

And finally, the time came.
The customer, who was extremely satisfied with the ring, brought in the other opal several months later, after enjoying the ring on its own for a while.
The design chosen for the necklace was the same "Water Lip" type as the ring.

To fully enjoy the unique play of color of the opal, the chain was made 60cm long in total, allowing it to be worn a bit longer over clothing. A slide clasp was added to enable length adjustments in millimeter increments.

At the end of the gracefully long chain, a mysteriously shimmering opal was set, surrounded by carefully placed small but strongly gleaming melee diamonds.
While opals are generally known for their oval or rounded shapes, the customer's opal was square, resulting in a modern and everyday-suitable look without being overly ornate.
This time, the delivery was made by mail. Upon receiving the completed necklace, the customer sent us a very warm message saying, "It turned out beautifully and exactly as I hoped, I'm so glad I asked 440 to do it."
She posted wonderful photos on Instagram wearing the necklace along with the previously made ring. Seeing them, I am deeply moved as I recall each step of the reform story.
Thank you always.
