We received a request to remodel the jade cufflinks that her father always wore into a special ring, as they held so many cherished memories. We decided to take our time with this project.

The couple each took one jade cufflink and had them transformed into their own individual rings.
Both of them, who don't usually wear much jewelry, requested something easy to wear daily, with no protrusions, and they entrusted us to incorporate the 440 touch into the design.
This time, we are showcasing the ladies' ring.
She wanted to use the jade in its original form because it was a precious item inherited from her father, but she was concerned that its size, approximately 14x7mm, might be too large for someone not accustomed to wearing rings.
Of course, it is possible to recut the jade to a smaller size. However, we informed her that recutting could potentially alter its color. Given the excellent original condition of the jade, and considering her father's memories and the ring made for the gentleman (from the previous post) at the same time, we recommended using it as is.
To address the concern about volume, we oriented the jade horizontally instead of vertically to make it feel less bulky. We proposed a simple design where the jade was set with a bezel setting that is comfortable on the finger, and incorporated a rounded band. This design was approved and crafted.

During our discussion, she also requested a stackable diamond ring. She fell in love with a ring from 440's popular "Art Déco Modernism" collection, and we crafted a double V-shaped diamond ring for her.

The V-shaped ring was designed to be worn below, and the jade ring above, when stacked. The jade ring is the star of this piece. To highlight it, the upper part of the V-shaped ring features a polished metal line, while the lower line is set with melee diamonds, creating contrast and ensuring the jade ring doesn't get overshadowed. We carefully considered the balance in the design.
